About Us

Jeff Caverly, CPB

Jeff's wealth of bookkeeping / accounting / management experience began some 30 years ago (straight out of high school), in “Corporate Canada”. Over the years, Jeff held junior through to managerial positions (uninterrupted through receiverships, changes in ownership, reorganisations, etc.), mostly in the telecommunications industry, ending with such large corporations as Shaw Communications and Rogers Wireless. Jeff's experiences through this period of his career exposed him to many facets of a business’s existence, both good and bad. At various times, Jeff served on numerous management committees, and was responsible for several staff members. Jeff believes these experiences have taught him over the years on how to best deal with people, and situations, fairly. In 2001, subsequent to a final acquisition/integration, the choice was to relocate to Toronto and remain in the corporate environment, or remain with family in Montreal and broaden his experience. His choice was the later.

In 2002 Jeff became part Shareholder/Director/Officer/Manager of Urban Impressionz Inc., a small, aspiring “family” silkscreen printing business. Aside from his total financial responsibilities (Vice-President/Treasurer), he was also responsible for direct customer contact/service and production oversight.  Over the next 7 years, Urban's revenues increased significantly (200%), but profitability was a constant endeavor. These experiences clearly demonstrated to him the struggles small businesses face, and he felt his knowledge and experience could better serve more small businesses. The birth of AccuCypher Fiscal Services followed in 2009.

Jeff is a member of the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (IPBC)  and obtained his Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation in January of 2013. Jeff also volunteered his time as Treasurer and Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee for the Board of Directors of the IPBC from September 2013 through May 2015.
